Yortay Interference pearlescent pigment consists of mica coated with rutile titanium dioxide. These pearlescent pigment can create gold, orange, red, violet, blue and green colors when the titanium dioxide layer varies in thickness. These interference pearlescent pigment can show double colors with the changes of light and observing perspective.It can add into resin, then formed the pearl paint.

Common problems and solutions of pearlescent pigment in coating application

Ⅰ.Poor direction of pearlescent pigment, the occurrence of common phenomenon

Reason:

Very light pearlescent paint on dark substrate

The spray is too thick or the gun is too close

Affected by silicone/grease and leveling/defoaming/plasticizer in the formulation or primer

Solution:

Precoat light colored primer with fine bead pigment

Improve the construction method, better divided into several thin coating

Clean utensils and substrates, improve auxiliaries

Integral composition, the correct choice of dilution

Pearl Pigment Application:

1. plastic field
It is available in assorted plastic procession like injection, like cosmetic container, shampoo container, soft tube, plastic commodity, toys and so on.

2. coating field
It can be applied in many coating, including powder coating, vehicle paint, green paint, plastic-based paint, wood-based paint, surface coating for synthetic leather/textile/industrial, decorative paint and so on.

3. printing
It can be used in various printing systems as intaglio printing, offset printing, surface printing and etc. It can make packing cards, name cards, decoration, wallpaper, yew paper, greeting cards, tobacco and wine packaging, etc.
