Metallic pearlescent effect pigment are made of platelets of mica coated with iron oxide.Metallic series of effect pigment has strong metal luster, abundant colors, better hiding power, and stable physical and chemical properties. It can add into resin, then formed the pearl paint.

Pearl paint is very special, the pearl paint contains very high permeability of mica particles, so the ability of covering is very poor. When spraying, it is necessary to spray a coat of paint that is similar to the color of the primer or the same color bottom to improve the covering ability, and then spray the pearl paint. Re-spray finish varnish on pearl lacquer.

Metal pearlescent Pigment is formed with tiny mica flake as basal body , on which it is coated with metal oxide,such as TiO2,Fe203 ,etc. The thick ness of the coated layer is controlled strictly . Because of lower refractive index of mica flake and higher refractive index of TiO2 , it will form elegant pearlescent luster affected by Flash light when the light irradiates upon the surface of pearlescent pigment.
